SUMMARY:POP IN / POP OUT: S O U N D B O D Y with Milana Aernova
DESCRIPTION:S O U N D B O D Y is an embodied movement exploration investigating the relationship between the body\, sound\, space\, and sensation. \nTogether\, we will experiment with how sound moves us and how our bodies respond to vibration\, rhythm\, space\, and one another through the lens of cymatics in the body. Through guided improvisational scores\, listening practices\, and visualizations\, we will tune into the body as a living\, sensing ecosystem; first as matter\, then as a collection of moving particles\, and ultimately as an expression of energy experiencing itself through sensation\, in a dance between space\, sound\, and time. \nAt its core\, this work is an exploration of experiential boundlessness: an invitation to expand our understanding of the body and consciousness beyond the physical\, and to recognize ourselves as inseparable from the larger energetic universe in which we\, as living beings\, move\, breathe\, and dream. \nNo prior dance experience is necessary; this is an invitation to explore through sensation\, curiosity\, and your own unique way of moving. \nMore information about S O U N D B O D Y: Project Blog \nMilana Aernova (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist\, creatrix\, movement artist\, and creative technologist\, exploring the intersection of where the body\, technology\, and nature meet. Rooted in dance\, science\, and contemplative practices like Authentic Movement\, her facilitation weaves together curiosity\, play\, and collective exploration. She is particularly interested in how embodied experiences can help us navigate a world while remaining connected to our most true selves\, our communities\, and the Earth. \nLEARN MORE & RSVP HERE

SUMMARY:Ghost Light Masquerade
DESCRIPTION:Ghost Light Masquerade returns this October\, inviting audiences inside the mysterious world of The Nocturne Theatre for The Rosin Box Project’s award winning immersive\, after-dark Halloween experience. \nEvery theatre keeps a single lamp burning after the house goes dark: the Ghost Light. Theatrical superstition says it keeps the spirits away. At The Nocturne\, it draws them closer. \nFor a limited time each October\, The Nocturne Theatre descends and conjures an otherworldly masquerade where superstition walks\, legends breathe\, and Spirits dance. There are no assigned seats and no fourth wall. Instead\, guests move freely through the space\, following Resident Spirits\, discovering hidden encounters\, gathering around the stage\, and experiencing contemporary ballet and theatrical performances unfolding throughout the night. \nCreated by The Rosin Box Project\, San Diego’s premier contemporary ballet company\, Ghost Light Masquerade blends contemporary dance\, theatrical storytelling\, music\, masks\, and immersive environments into a Halloween experience unlike anything else in San Diego. \nCostumes and masks are encouraged\, and masks are available upon arrival. No knowledge of ballet is required\, only a willingness to follow the light. \nThe Ghost Light is burning. Dare to enter.
