Though the location has changed\, the goal remains the same: have fun\, meet new people\, and build a vibrant\, supportive community through the joy of Latin dance. \nEvery week\, we will host an open level donation-based class in a different style (vote when you register & pay what you can). \nNo experience? No funds? No pressure and no judgment—just good music\, great moves\, and a welcoming atmosphere. Bring your friends\, bring your energy\, Come learn\, dance\, and connect. Together\, we’ll continue exploring what it means to build a thriving and sustainable dance ecosystem and how each of us can contribute to its future. \nThis gathering will feature a special Steering Committee panel\, “The Hybrid Dance Leader: Leadership\, Service\, and Community-Building in Today’s Dance Ecosystem.” The conversation will highlight the many ways leadership shows up within our field and the realities of wearing multiple hats as artists\, educators\, entrepreneurs\, administrators\, and advocates. \nPanelists Dr. Novien Yarber\, Emily Miller\, Dr. Grace Jun\, Jane Blount\, and Paola Castro will share insights from their own journeys\, reflecting on leadership through service\, balancing multiple roles\, cultivating sustainability\, and responding to community needs. Together\, we’ll explore how leadership can emerge from curiosity\, collaboration\, and a commitment to strengthening our shared dance community. This conversation is an invitation to see yourself as an active contributor to the future of dance in San Diego. Hosted by Claudia Gomez on tap dance and percussion\, this free community event features special guest NYC tap artist Michela Marino Lerman\, along with Evona Wascinski (Besos de Coco/Besos Jazz Trio) on bass\, and Jon Garner and Jeremy Eikam on Manouche jazz guitars. Tap dancers\, musicians\, and audiences are all welcome to enjoy this unique celebration of live music\, improvisation\, and community. Free admission.
