SUMMARY:Blind Date with a Ballet
DESCRIPTION:YOU’RE GOING ON A BLIND DATE… WITH A BALLET.\nAt this special Pointeworks event\, guests will select between Ballet A or Ballet B—without knowing exactly what they’ll see. Each choice leads to a distinct rehearsal experience\, revealing a different side of the creative process. \nYou’ll spend 45 minutes inside the studio observing a live working rehearsal\, then join both groups afterward for a relaxed reception with drinks\, conversation\, and the chance to meet the artists. \nThis is not a performance—it’s a window into the process.\nAnd no two experiences will be the same. \nLimited to 20 guests total\n10 guests per studio \nHOW IT WORKS\n\n\nChoose Ballet A or Ballet B when reserving your ticket \n\n\nAttend a 45-minute live rehearsal viewing \n\n\nJoin a post-rehearsal reception with drinks \n\n\nConnect with artists and fellow guests through guided conversation \n\n\nCHOOSE YOUR MATCH\nBALLET A — THE SLOW BURN\nA quiet tension. A conversation that never quite lands. \nThis duet lives in the space between what is felt and what is spoken—subtle\, layered\, and deeply human. Every glance and gesture carries weight\, building a sense of connection that is as restrained as it is charged. \nMood: intimate\, intense\, emotionally nuanced\nFor you if: you’re drawn to subtlety\, complexity\, and what lingers beneath the surface \nBALLET B — THE SPARK\nA connection that ignites instantly. \nThis pas de deux is driven by young love and emotional intensity. It captures the thrill of being pulled toward someone with undeniable force—where everything feels heightened and nothing is held back. \nMood: passionate\, impulsive\, sweet\nFor you if: you want something dynamic\, emotionally charged\, and impossible to ignore \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\nPay What You Can\nSuggested donation: $30 per person \nYour support helps Pointeworks provide paid opportunities for dancers and continue creating new work.

DESCRIPTION:Where Stillness Grows: An Evening Celebrating San Diego’s Iconic Senior Dance Artists in a Fundraising Night to Gather and Give is a special community evening hosted by Mounarath Powell Dance on Saturday\, June 6\, 2026. This exclusive event brings together artists\, supporters\, and community members and is designed to honor and uplift senior artists\, providing a platform for them to continue sharing their work while fostering connection across generations. \nDoors open at 6:30pm and guests are encouraged to wear their best black and gold outfits and will enjoy silent auctions\, raffle prizes\, and light bites throughout the evening. The evenings live entertainment will begin at 7:30pm and the raffle and auction winners will be announced after. \nThe event serves as a vital fundraiser supporting Mounarath Powell Dance’s professional adult company and broader mission. With over 30 years of experience in arts education and performance\, the organization offers programs for youth and adults\, including inclusive dance opportunities\, pre-professional training\, and community-based classes. Attendees and supporters can additionally contribute through monetary donations through our online campaign. \nProceeds from the evening will help sustain fair compensation for artists\, expand access to low-cost and free classes\, grow scholarship opportunities\, and support future development of the space. \nJoin us for a night of artistry\, generosity\, and community—where creativity is celebrated and every contribution helps the arts continue to thrive. \n  \n\n* * * * * * * * * * * * * \nAdmission tickets are available with a minimum donation of $15\n\n\n\n* * * * * * * * * * * * * \nMounarath Powell Dance has a rich history of collaborating and partnering with local\, national\, and international artists and provides opportunities and a platform for artistic expression. Under the MPD umbrella\, we also offer the Arts4Us program. This inclusive dance class offers adults with developmental disabilities and adults of all abilities a welcoming space to move\, express\, and connect through dance. \nMounarath Powell Dance believes the performing arts\, whether on or off stage\, is for all and with your support we can continue to share our vision. \n* * * * * * * * * * * * * \nCan’t make it to the fundraising gala?  Donate here – https://givebutter.com/WhereStillnessGrows
