A soloist member formerly with New York Theatre Ballet, Manhattan Festival Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet at Lincoln Center, Garden State Ballet, Eglevsky Ballet and more, at the age of 12 Kirsten began teaching dance for the Tucson Unified School District, continued her career with various New York City metropolitan area dance studios, and founded Movement Longevity where she ran a dance & fitness program and directed recitals in New Mexico. Her teaching technique is inspired by working with great Masters of dance: George Zoritch at the University of Arizona while earning high school credit, Vincent Paterson, Bella Lewitsky, a full scholarship at Joffrey (‘Joffrey: Mavericks of American Dance’), Anna Sokolow, Gillian Lynne, Ballet Mistress Janet Panetta (‘Pina’ the Oscar nominated film), and a decade long mentor-ship with American Ballet Theater’s Prima Ballerina Sallie Wilson. Kirsten enjoyed her role as the ballet dancing clown with the national touring production of Pierrot & Pirouette, Ukrainian folk danced at Madison Square Garden, kicked up the Can-Can all over Manhattan, assisted Cassie the Chimp, graced nightclub stages in Burlesque acts, appeared on PBS Television as The Girl In Lavender being shoved under the piano by her partner in Yes Virginia, Another Piano Ballet, and in such films as Tank Girl, Brain Donors and Boys On The Side. She performed with Los Angeles & San Francisco theater companies where she won a best Actress award for her role as Bunny in The Future of the Female, and was Shirl in Beowulf Theater Company’s Tucson's production of The Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage. Kirsten is currently represented by MTM Agency working as an actor, model and choreographer in San Diego and will be teaching her Moving aLong program at Pacific View Arts Center in Encinitas this Fall.
