San Diego Dance Matters is a community-driven effort to strengthen, connect, and sustain San Diego’s diverse dance ecosystem. The mission is to build a dedicated dance service organization that serves as a central hub for dance artists and organizations for connection, professional development, and resources.
Opportunity Statement
The San Diego dance community is rich in talent and diversity, yet independent dance artists and dance organizations face systemic barriers including limited access to professional development, fragmented networks, under-resourced organizations, and insufficient infrastructure to support sustainable careers.
Vision
A connected, collaborative, and thriving San Diego dance ecosystem where artists and organizations have the relationships, resources, visibility, and support needed to build sustainable careers, expand opportunities, and enrich the cultural life of our region.
