Milana Aernova
Program Coordinator
Milana Aernova (she/her) is a producing artist, creative technologist, and active member of San Diego’s dance community. A graduate of UC San Diego with a degree in Computer Science, she brings a unique blend of technical innovation, artistic vision, and community leadership to her work. As Program Coordinator at San Diego ART Matters specifically working on San Diego Dance Matters, Milana is dedicated to supporting local artists, curating meaningful experiences, and fostering collaboration across disciplines to strengthen the city’s creative ecosystem.
Dance has always been Milana's first love, and she is deeply committed to serving the vibrant and ever-evolving dance community in San Diego. In 2025, she began this work independently, volunteering her time to help strengthen connections, increase visibility, and build resources for local dancers and organizations. She is grateful for the opportunity, and the important responsibility, to help carry forward work that the community has needed for many years, believing that a thriving dance ecosystem is built through collective care, collaboration, and sustained investment in one another.
An experienced producer and organizer, Milana has developed and presented dance performances, workshops, and multimedia experiences that merge art, technology, and community engagement. Beyond her curatorial and coordination work, she is also a photographer, videographer, and interdisciplinary artist. Milana’s diverse movement practice deeply informs her creative approach, using dance and performance as a medium to explore humanity’s evolving relationship with technology, the body, and the act of being seen.
