As part of our scholarship program, the work-trade program at Malashock Dance offers free or discounted classes for students in exchange for assistance with administrative tasks and front desk duties during youth dance class hours. Participants in the program will also have access to mentorship, professional development, and performances. If you are passionate about dance, want to use or grow your administrative skills, and earn class credits in return, apply now.

Examples of Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Be present in the hallway, friendly help for parents
  • Take attendance as dancers arrive for classes, both youth and adult
  • Take photos/videos for social media
  • Make announcements to parents/students in hallways
  • Monitor sound levels in hallways and remind parents/students to be respectful of other classes
  • Make sure parents have signed waivers
  • Take orders for dance wear/Distribute orders for dance wear
  • Create & Schedule Social Media posts
  • Make contact with new & prospective students
  • Additional administrative tasks as needed
