Michelle is the founder of Queer Latin Dance SD. A lifelong performer, her background spans competitive gymnastics, classical choir, and violin, including the opportunity to perform with Luciano Pavarotti. She discovered salsa in college as a creative outlet alongside her engineering studies, a passion that led to years of performing and teaching. After coming out in 2020, Michelle founded Queer Latin Dance SD along side her partner Pat, to create an inclusive, affirming space where San Diego's LGBTQ+ community can learn, connect, and experience the joy of Latin dance.
